Hand painted original luminous impressionist landscape.
This luscious color field of trees with golden sunlight was inspired by a dream. The painting is titled Late Afterglow. I tried to capture the amber glow of the late afternoon sunset through the oak trees in my backyard of Savannah, Georgia. I love working in different materials and creating texture. This is done in oils with sanding in between the layers of paint to create a destressed timeless look finished with a heavy gloss varnish.
